Definition

What does HR and payroll software do?

HR and payroll software manages the employee lifecycle and turns attendance into pay. It records staff details, holds leave entitlements and balances, collects attendance from biometric or card devices, and calculates salary including overtime, allowances, deductions and bonuses. In Bangladesh a payroll system also has to handle rules that generic international products do not model — overtime and leave entitlements under the Labour Act 2006, festival bonus, and final settlement on separation — which is why locally built or locally configured payroll is common here.

What you get

Payroll that survives an audit and a factory headcount

Payroll for 40 office staff and payroll for 4,000 factory workers on rotating shifts are not the same problem.

01
Attendance, shifts and overtime
Pulls from your existing biometric and card devices, handles rotating and night shifts, and applies overtime rules automatically — including the exception handling for missed punches that otherwise eats a day of HR time every month.
02
Payroll built for local rules
Overtime, leave encashment, festival bonus, provident fund, gratuity and final settlement calculated to Bangladeshi practice rather than approximated.
03
Leave and attendance self-service
Staff apply for leave and check balances themselves; managers approve on a phone. HR stops being a message-forwarding service.
04
Payslips, bank files and reports
Payslips per cycle, bank disbursement files in the format your bank accepts, and the statutory and management reports auditors ask for.
05
Salary data properly restricted
Access controlled per role, with an audit trail on every change — salary is the data most likely to leak from a spreadsheet-based process.
Business impact

What changes after launch

Days off the payroll cycle

Processing takes hours instead of a week of spreadsheet work.

Fewer pay disputes

Attendance and overtime are traceable to the device record.

Audit-ready records

Every calculation and change documented as it happens.

One source for HR data

Headcount, leave and salary agree because they share a system.
How we work

From payroll spreadsheets to a system you can audit

We run parallel payroll before switching. Nobody should discover a calculation error on payday.

  1. 01

    Document your salary rules

Grades, allowances, overtime treatment, leave entitlements and bonus policy — including the exceptions HR currently handles by hand.

  2. 02

    Connect attendance devices

We integrate your existing biometric and card machines and set up shift patterns, so attendance stops being exported to Excel.

  3. 03

    Build and configure

Payroll rules, approval chains, payslip and report formats, and the bank disbursement file your bank will accept.

  4. 04

    Run parallel payroll

One or two full cycles calculated both ways and reconciled line by line. Every difference is explained before we switch.

  5. 05

    Go live with training

HR and managers trained on their own data, then support through the first live cycles when questions actually arise.

Where it fits

Common ways businesses use it

Factory workforce payroll

Thousands of workers on rotating shifts with overtime and piece-rate elements.

Multi-branch attendance

One attendance and leave policy applied consistently across locations.

Contract and daily-wage staff

Workers who are not on standard monthly salary handled in the same cycle.

Final settlement and gratuity

Separation calculations produced correctly rather than negotiated from memory.

FAQ

Questions, answered

01Does it follow Bangladesh Labour Act rules?

It is built to apply the rules your organisation operates under — overtime, leave entitlement, festival bonus, gratuity and final settlement. We configure to your interpretation and your legal advice; we build the software, we do not provide the legal opinion.

02Will it work with our existing biometric machines?

In most cases yes. We support the common device families used here and read from them directly. We confirm your specific models during discovery rather than after purchase.

03How much does HR and payroll software cost in Bangladesh?

It scales mainly with headcount and the complexity of your salary rules. Office payroll for a few hundred staff is a much smaller project than a factory with shift rotation and piece rates. We quote after documenting your rules.

04How long does implementation take?

Six to twelve weeks typically, including a parallel payroll period. We would not recommend going live without running at least one cycle in parallel.

05Can employees check their own leave and payslips?

Yes, through self-service on web and mobile. This removes a large share of the routine questions HR currently answers one at a time.

06Is salary data secure?

Access is restricted per role with a full audit trail, and the system can be deployed on your own servers if you would rather salary data never sat with a third party.

07Can it handle both monthly staff and daily-wage workers?

Yes, in the same cycle. Mixed workforces are common here and handling them separately is exactly the manual work this is meant to remove.
