What is web hosting, and what does a domain cost in Bangladesh?
Web hosting is the server space and connectivity that makes a website reachable on the internet; a domain is the name people type to reach it. They are separate purchases and can be bought from different providers. In Bangladesh, .com.bd and .bd domains are administered by BTCL and require documentation — typically a trade licence or national ID — which is why registration takes longer than an international .com. Hosting is usually sold in tiers by storage and resource allocation, and plans advertised as 'unlimited' invariably have limits stated elsewhere in the terms.

02How much does web hosting cost in Bangladesh?
Plans range widely, and the very cheapest usually mean oversold servers and no support. Our plans are quoted on request; domain registration is charged at cost plus a handling fee rather than marked up.
03Do you offer unlimited hosting?
No, and we would be cautious of anyone who does. Every server has finite resources, so 'unlimited' plans have limits written elsewhere in the terms. We state ours in the plan instead.
04Is SSL included?
Yes, issued and renewed automatically on all plans. HTTPS is a baseline requirement now, not an upsell.
05Can you move our existing website?
Yes, included. We migrate the site and mailboxes and test them while your current host is still live, then switch DNS only once everything works.
06Do we own the domain?
Yes. Domains are registered in your name with you as the registrant, so you can transfer them away at any time. Registering client domains in the provider's own name is a practice we consider indefensible.
07When should we move to a VPS instead?
When the site regularly hits the plan's processing limits, when you need software the shared environment cannot install, or when downtime has a direct revenue cost. We monitor and will tell you when you are approaching that point.
