Which type of hosting does a business need?
Hosting choice is decided by workload and obligation, not by budget alone. Shared web hosting suits small sites where occasional slowdowns are tolerable. A VPS reserves CPU and memory to one customer and is the appropriate size for most business applications and e-commerce stores. A dedicated server is justified by a compliance requirement for non-shared hardware or by sustained heavy load. GPU servers are needed only for running AI models directly. Buying a larger tier than the workload requires is the most common and least useful hosting expense.
